This is the first post of the new series called Microwave and Bake.It will feature quick and easy recipes most of which would be doable in under 5min and require very few ingredients and of course a microwave. Before starting the series I would like to talk about some safety instructions before starting to use your microwave.First make sure you keep your microwave very clean and wipe off any spillage after every use.Second do not use any metal or aluminium foil or glass utensils with golden or silver lining or anything that doesn’t have The microwave safe symbol next to it.Third avoid using rather NEVER use aluminium foil or plastic wrap or cellophane regardless of what you are cooking.Fourth a parchment paper to avoid your food from sticking on to a microwave safe mould or tray or bowl or mug is the safest approach.Fifth always use mits and never touch anything cooked in the microwave with bare hands.Last but not the least never try to microwave Eggs or Dairy/Pure Fats why? Well if you microwave eggs your microwave will explode and if you microwave fats it just makes them poisonous.Having spoken about safety now you can proceed to reading,
Don’t you love brownies but think it’s too tedious to bake for several minutes?Dont worry this is a brownie in a mug recipe that bakes in the microwave in under 2minutes.Its a brownie for one, you can bake it in a microwave safe mug or ramican as I did.I have made a vegan and low fat version however you can feel free to add an egg and some butter.I have flavoured my brownie with cocoa and Japanese Golden Matcha. You can also use regular whole milk and vegetable oil instead of using coconut oil and milk , I just picked a more natural and healthier alternative but you notice a huge difference. You can also go ahead and add nuts or dry fruits of your choice, walnuts go really well with brownies. Its completely optional and I have skipped it but if you’re having this brownies a power snack you can definitely add it.
That’s how my brownie looked right after it came out of the microwave, make sure you use oven mits or a kitchen towel when you take them out because trust me they will be super hot 💥
Golden Matcha is a Japanese variant of Green Tea that is prepared by a special crafting method that makes it instantly soluble. It has twice the antioxidants in any regular green tea and due to the presence of solvable nutrients it increases bio availability and bio activity So this is a healthy brownie recipe.Ingredients are fairly simple and surely would be available at hand. Now you can make this brownie mix before hand ,store it in a box and carry it to work also, most places have microwave these days.So all you need to do take some milk from the coffee machine and just microwave your mix.You can skip the oil and butter obviously. Also if you are trying this recipe in the summer a scoop full of ice cream like vanilla would be perfection ❤️
PS. I poured chocolate syrup over the brownie right after it came out of the microwave so it melted a big, if you can be patient your brownie would look “prettier” after the garnish.
