This recipe is inspired by an authentic cooking blog and channel, Laura in the Kitchen. For Laura’s version , check out this link. She insists on using a pizza stone and bake this in the oven, I have just customized this recipe for making this on a pan. Nevertheless if you have a oven and a pizza stone, do bake it definitely gives you that crunchy crust and smokiness. And of course for history buffs The history of pizza begins in antiquity, when various ancient cultures produced flatbreads with toppings. … Modern pizza developed in Naples, when tomato was added to the focaccia in the late 18th century. Neapolitan pizza itself is believed to have originated from a similar dish called Jeyoun.[Source: Wikipedia]

Cooking Tips

Invest in good quality corn meal to dust off your pizza dough, it helps to handle the dough and makes it real crunchy at the base. Make sure that you buy fresh active dry yeast , expired yeast or yeast that doesn’t get activated will ruin this dish.No time for homemade marinara ? Try the no-cook marinara recipe. All you need is some tomato ketchup, onion and garlic powder, Italian seasoning – oregano ,thyme ,rosemary ,parsley, salt and black pepper.
